Who We Are...

We are a small home based group with a few foster homes dedicated to saving as many lives as possible. We do this one precious life at a time.

Alot of the dogs we get have been neglected and need special care to get them ready for adoption. We give them that.

Our efforts include:
*Rescuing and fostering homeless companion animals.
*Coordinating transports from high kill shelters to safety.
*Providing rescued animals with needed Veterinary care.
*Coordinating the adoption of companion animals into permanent, loving homes.
*Advocating the practice of spaying and neutering
*Advocating rescue and adoption as opposed to the purchasing and breeding.
*Using any means within our power and ethical guidelines to stop the abuse, misuse, neglect and senseless killing of companion animals.

We Agree To....

- Accept only those animals we can adequately care for.
- Properly quarantine new intakes to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
- Evaluate the animal for a sufficient time (at least two weeks) in order to be able to determine the correct placement for the animal based on the animals personality and temperament.
- Evaluate any behavioral and temperament issues with the realization that some animals cannot be safely placed.
- Have the animal fully vetted, spay/neut, including appropriate vaccinations and testing for disease and parasites. Have the ability and be willing to follow necessary treatment to restore the animal to health.
- Represent ourselves honestly.
- Represent the animal honestly to potential adopters.
- Maintain records on all animals, and make medical records available to adopters.
- Evaluate the potential homes for the animals, including interview/questionnaire/application, vet and personal references, and home check. Turn down any applicant if the adoption is not in the best interest of the animal.
- Require an adoption contract that requires humane care of the animal, and the return of the animal to the rescue if the adopter is unable to keep the animal at any point and for any reason.
- Require an adoption fee that is neither so high as to give the public the impression that the rescue is a money-making venture, nor so low as to diminish the value of the rescue animal in the eyes of the public, or attract those just looking for a "cheap pet".
- Maintain communication with all adopters, and be available and have the knowledge and skills to assist the adoptive homes with any problems they encounter.
- Be able to take back any adopted animal at any time, from the adopter or if found in a shelter or at large.
