A Happy New Beginning for Pappy McGee

Pappy McGee started out as "Jake" at the Alleghany Animal Shelter. He was 1 of 4 in his litter of siblings. His picture on Petfinder attracted the attention of one wonderful woman named Katie from Alabama.

Katie made arrangements and flew up to North Carolina to meet and adopt Pappy McGee. This campaign was lovingly called "The Pappy McGee campaign." Katie and her friends even wore specially-designed t-shirts for the trip, and even brought champagne to celebrate Pappy McGee's adoption and happy new beginning with his new mom!
