Gio is 2 years old. He's a tall, handsome fellow! He loves to play as well as loving people. He would be an excellent family pet.
In a recent survey of Kansas shelters, we learned some shocking
numbers. Out of the seven shelters that responded, 91 GSP's had
been taken in.
12 were returned to their owners
28 were taken by rescue or adopted from the shelter
49 of them were euthanized (thats 53%)
PLEASE READ BEFORE EMAILING ABOUT A DOG. In order to adopt a dog you must meet certain requirements. These may seem to be strict requirements, but we believe they are necessary for the safety and best care of the dogs.
- Fill out an adoption form
- The dog must be an indoor family pet not a kennel dog
- Dog gets plenty of exercise
- Vet references will be checked
- Home Visit done before adopting a dog.
All our dogs are neutered, heartworm tested, wormed, and vaccinated before they are adopted.
Please microchip your pet and make sure they have the proper tags with current information. Many animals are found and unable to be returned to their owners because they don't have proper identification.
