Our Featured Pet...
This month, we don't have a featured pet, but we would like you to look at all of our dogs, because to us all of our dogs are featured pets.
News
Our "Paws In The Park" event has been set for May 10, 2008 at Gilland Park in Oceana, WV. We will be having several events that you can enter your dog in .There will be other vendors also selling food and different things.
We will be having a "dog walk" the first part of the day and then we will be having the dog show, which will have 7 catagories.
After the show is over, we will be having 2 area pastors giving the blessing of the animals.
It should be an exciting day! Please try to come! This is going to be the first annual "Paws in the Park", please pray that this will be a huge success so we can continue this event.
The Humane Society of Wyoming County meets the second Saturday of every month at 6:30. Meetings are held at Fox's Pizza in East Pineville.
Please remember, you do not have to take in pets to be a member. We need volunteers to help with fund raisers, give ideas for fundraisers, but also to let people know we as the Humane Society are trying to help save and place as many animals as as we can in good, loving homes.
Anything that you can do for the animals is always greatly appreciated.

Monetary donations for medical bills,
Dog food,
Cat food,
Cat litter,
Cat litter pans, and
Litter scoops
Who We Are
We are the Humane Society of Wyoming County. We are not affliated with the Wyoming County Animal Shelter.
We are a small group of volunteers dedicated to helping the animals of Wyoming County. We provide a safe haven for rescued and abandonded animals until they find their forever homes! Unfortunately we do not yet have a shelter facility. All our available pets are currently in foster homes awaiting forever homes.
We receive no governmental funding. Everything we receive is through fund raisers, monetary donations, and pet product donations. Our funds are used to pay veternarian bills and purchase food for animals in foster care.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting a new friend please call Bunny and she will send you an adoption application.
Adoption fee for cats is $25.00
Adoption fee for dogs is $35.00
If the animal have already been spayed or neutered by the Humane Society we only ask for that fee back as an adoption fee.
You will receive 30% off at Wyoming Small Animal Clinic for Spaying/Neutering and first set of vaccines if needed.

We do not have a faciltiy at this time, if you are interested in a pet, please call 294-6996 and Bunny will be happy to set up a time for you to view a pet, or let you know which member is fostering the animal you are interested in.
We are also always looking for new members to help us in our effort to save and place as many of these little critters as we can, so if you are interested in joining our effort in any way, give us a call or send us an e-mail. We'd be glad to have you.
