Who We Are

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals. Our mission is the prevention of cruelty to animals, the relief of suffering among animals and the extension of humane education.

How You Can Help

The Sheboygan County Humane Society is now a part of the "WE CARE" program through Pick 'n Save. You can help SCHS every time you make a grocery purchase at any Pick 'n Save store in Wisconsin. Just fill out your Saver's Card Club application and name SCHS as your favorite charity. The SCHS account/donation number is 712000. Just present your Pick 'n Save Advantage Card at the checkout every time you make a purchase. The more Pick 'n Save customers with our account number assigned to a card, the larger the donation to the Sheboygan County Humane Society. Please tell your friends, family and co-workers about this new way to help our animals at our shelter. If you have already designated another non-profit group as your charity and would now like all your purchases to be credited to us, you can simply fill out an Advantage Card "Change Form", which is available at the service counter of any Pick 'n Save store. THANK YOU.

The Sheboygan County Humane Society can benefit by the Kwik Rewards Fund-Raising Program. You can participate in this program by completing the "Kwik Rewards Fundraising" information contained at the bottom of the on-line Kwik Card application, (www.kwiktrip.com) picking up a Kwik Rewards Fundraising designation Postcard at our stores or by calling us at 1-800-305-6666. Upon approval of your Kwik Card application, you'll earn a Kwik Rewards rebate of 3 cents on every gallon of fuel you purchase, plus a 3% Kwik Rewards rebate on all in-store purchases. Once Kwik Trip receives a minimum of five Kwik Rewards designations for The Sheboygan County Humane Society it will be in the program. The Sheboygan County Humane Society will receive your account's quarterly earned Kwik Rewards rebate and in addition Kwik Trip will donate an additional 1% of the amount equal to your in-store credit purchases. That's 3 cents per gallon and 4% on in-store credit purchase to help The Sheboygan County Humane Society. Thank you for caring.

Become A Foster Parent

The SCHS is looking for foster homes! Make a difference in a homeless animal's life. Give a homeless animal a "second chance". Become a foster parent and open your home and heart to an animal in need.

Foster care in your own home benefits:

• Ill animals needing recuperation (at times including medication)
• Young animals needing socialization
• Mother animals and their young
• Orphaned animals
• Stressed/frightened animals intolerant of a shelter environment

Fostering is a heartwarming, rewarding experience. Learn about respect, consideration, and responsibility for another life. Help your community by caring for some of its homeless animals. A foster home is a vital step for a homeless animal on its way to a permanent, loving home. You can provide that important link. Adopt A Friend

You MUST come to the shelter and apply for adoption in person. We DO NOT ship our animals. You must fill out an adoption application and you will be contacted upon approval.This normally takes 24-48 hours to complete. Interested adopters must visit with a lead caregiver for a meet and greet.

All of our precious pets are spayed or neutered before adoption. Both dogs and cats are up to date with annual vaccinations,dewormed dogs are heartworm tested, cats are tested for FIV and feline leukemia and are treated for ear mites. All dogs are temperament tested by a trained tester. We are on the Science Diet plan so it is what we feed our cats and dogs. We supply a 4# starter bag of Science Diet upon adoption for the low cost of $4.00. Each and every one of our companion animals are provided with an examination by our own (in house) Veterinarian. We also microchip all of our pets upon adoption. We recently purchased a professional teeth cleaning system for our shelter animals with the generous help of a special donor. Don't forget you are also able to receive a complimentary visit by your own Veterinarian too.
