Unless you're on very large acreage properties, a fence is the ONLY protection you can offer your Rottweiler from the misinformed public and other temptations and dangers. We participate in the rewarding experience of rescue. adoption networking and rehoming "temperament observed", spayed and neutered Rotties of all ages. This gentle breed is getting an undeserved poor reputation because of a few careless, misguided humans, who through neglect, abuse or poor and improper treatment teach the dogs unacceptable behaviour. With proper care, and gentle treatment the Rottweiler is one of the finest companion animals, gentle, playful, protective, intelligent and loyal to the last breath. They can be wonderful with the entire family, make tender baby sitters if your toddler doesn't mind wet doggy kisses, learn to have other animal friends both big and small. Depending on the individual dog and owner, ample opportunities exist to explore agility, where these athletic dogs excell, search and rescue, cart pulling, therapy dogs, and other sports and hobbies. These dogs are bright, eager, willing to learn and enjoy having a job to do. even if that just means loving you.
