Doggie Mountain Rescue isn't a place and does not live in any particular town in Washington. It's a loose organization, manned by people in several small towns to fill in the gaps that purebred rescue of two SNOWDOG breeds, Siberian Huskies and Alaskan Malamutes, cannot fill. We run into situations where snowdog mixes seem to fall through the cracks. So we try to provide some visibility for these dogs as a safety net . Doggie Mountain volunteers also work help with other dogs from small farm communities, occasionally .
We run into other situations, too, where quick visibility will help. And, finally, with the budget cuts in the state of Washington in small towns, where Doggie Mountain "lives" we'll be working to let those of you who watch Petfinder see these sweet country critters who find themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
