The K-9
New Life Center is an all breed no kill dog rescue located in Virginia Beach,
Virginia, registered as a 501 (C), non profit organization dedicated to providing homeless dogs with a second chance at a good life. If they are injured, ill, or undernourished, we nurse them back to health. We utilize foster homes
so that the dogs can start learning how to live as family members in their new
homes.
Please call (757) 721-BARK if you
need further assistance. Thanks!

If you if you aren't ready to adopt another one yet then pick one of our dogs and help them get adopted. Each dog is looking for a sponsor that will help to let people know that they are looking for a home by making posters, telling friends, coworkers about this special dog and placing fliers at local vet's offices/petstores. If this is something you are interested in helping with please e-mail or call K-9 New Life. Remember every homeless dog has that perfect home out there we just need your help to find it!!
We would like to make a plea for foster homes. Foster homes allow us to save more and more dogs from death every year. We currently are in need of safe, caring homes to provide temporary housing for these homeless dogs. Remember we pay for all vet bills, provide food, and transportation for the dogs you only must give the dog a loving, safe place to stay while we match the dog up with the right adoptive home. Fostering is a rewarding experience that will leave you feeling wonderful! Please contact us if you would like more information. If you do not have time to volunteer but want to show your love for dogs? We are always in need of monetary donations for our dogs veterinary care. We recently have taken in a few dogs that are heartworm positive. This treatement is rather expensive so we could use your support. Rescuing dogs and providing them with the proper medical care is very expensive and every donation makes a difference! :-)
We
are now signed up through paypal to accept secure online credit card donations!
So lend us a paw and remember every dollar counts!
A success story from Jimmy one of the starved hounds that was rescued by K-9 New Life!

Jimmy came into our rescue in a sad state. He was cast off by his former owner along with three other hounds. Jimmy was not a good hunting dog, but he did not deserve the treatment he got. He was so under weight you could count every bone in his little frail body. To see Jimmy's picture above and his first picture you would not be able to tell it was the same dog! Jimmy has come a long way!!!! Jimmy is finally part of a family just as every dog deserves to be! Thanks to your help and support Jimmy is now happy and healthy!!!!

Who We Are
The K-9 New Life Center has a dream a dream where injured, abused, or abandoned animals can find a safe place in a home environment while they wait for their new family to come along. Working closely alongside rescue groups and area shelters we hope to put an end to the overpopulation crisis that is causing millions of animals to be killed every year simply because they do not have a home. This year alone we have saved more than one hundred dogs! Without your help we can not make this dream come true.
Ways to Help
Can't adopt? Try being a foster family for one of our dogs. We are currently seeking people to foster our dogs. We also need long term as well as short term foster homes. We also welcome donations of money or dog supplies. We also can always use donations of biscuits, dog beds, old blankets/towels, dog toys, leashes, leads, harnesses, veterinary services, crates of all sizes or anything else you think would be useful. The K-9 New Life Center is a tax exempt, non-profit organization. As such, all donations are fully tax deductible. Our accounts are fully audited and financial statements are available upon request. Donations can be mailed to the address below:
PET TAILS!
Lucky was thrown away. She was expendable. Someone placed her in a trash bag and threw her in a ditch to die. Three boys found her and saved her life. The next night Lucky gave birth to nine puppies. The Center placed all of these puppies in wonderful, loving homes. The K-9 New Life Centers main goal is to help dogs that are victims of abuse. We also are starting an education program to let people know that there are options and that no one or thing deserves to be treated like this.

Juliette was shot and left to die behind a dumpster. She lie curled up in a tight little ball. Juliette was very lucky a wonderful person found her and decided not to walk away. Her name is Juliette she is an 8 month old golden retriever mix, just a baby. Someone decide to take her life. Her vet bills are going to be extremely large and she will lose a leg, but Juliette deserves to live. Any person in her unfortunate predicament would lie screaming in pain and Juliette just sits an wags her tail. Dogs know when they have been given a second chance. That's something they never forget. Our goal is to provide unwanted dogs with that second chance because everyone deserves to live happily ever after.

Adopting a friend
Our extra-special dogs have needs beyond those with which you may be familiar. They may have been traumatized or abused. They may have been neglected or abandoned. They may have come to use with medical conditions requiring medicines or extra veterinary care. They may be puppies who require training and constant attention, or they may be older dogs who need a quiet, slow paced environment. Most, however, are just average 'boys' and 'girls' who need nothing more than to be loved and to give love in return. We invite you to visit with our adoptable dogs and see them on one of our four playgrounds. And - whether or not you choose to adopt - we encourage you to volunteer a little of your time to assist us in our mission.
Our Goal
is to match the right dog to the right family! We evaluate all rescued dogs for temperament and behavior, once you have completed our pre-adoption application we can begin to match our available dogs to your family and lifestyle. Upon review of your completed application, a representative of K9NLC will call you and conduct a telephone interview. The next step will include verification of the information that you provide, including, if applicable, contacting the Veterinarian who provides care to any other pets in your home. Once the information is verified, we will schedule an interview at your home - and all family members must be present. Within a few days - normally 48 hours - after your home interview you will be contacted regarding the status of your application. Once you are approved, we will contact you with information about the dogs that best match your household, or, if you have already chosen a suitable dog, you will be invited to fill out a K-9 New Life Center adoption contract.
Please note that all dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption, are up-to-date on their vaccinations, and are on heartworm prevention medication; to cover these expenses we ask that a donation of at least $185.00 be made to K9NLC. All donations are fully tax-deductible.
Adopting a dog is a lifetime decision. Adopt a friend for life! Our adoption process requires an application, a home check, and a vet check. Due to this we can only adopt out to a limited area. Also we prefer to adopt out to Eastern Virginia and North Eastern North Carolina due to having to set up homechecks but will consider long distance adoptions on a case by case basis.
Special Thanks
