Who We Are
Blue Ridge Toy Breed Rescue is a group of volunteers dedicated to helping small dogs find their furever homes. Many of the dogs in our rescue have been mistreated, abused, left outside with no food or shelter, or just plain unwanted and unloved. If you think a dog is just an animal and you aren't capable of making them part of your family, then please do not apply to adopt a dog from us. HOWEVER, if you love the idea that your life will be enriched by one of our furry friends and that you are committed to spoiling our furkids for the rest of their lifes, then please consider adopting a rescue animal. We are passionate about our little furkids and their well being, happiness and safety is our main concern.
Adopting a friend
To adopt a dog from Blue Ridge Toy Breed Rescue (BRTBR) please notify us by e-mail of your interest. We will e-mail you an application which will help us find out a little about you and what your wishes are for your perfect companion. This application does not commit you to adopting a dog from BRTBR just helps us match you with your perfect forever friend.
A home visit , vet references (if applicable) and adoption fee are required. Adoptions in the Northern Virginia, Richmond and Maryland, areas only, unless pup is fostering in another area. Applications from other locations may be considered if you are willing to drive to meet one of our pups.
Come Visit Us!
We are not a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in foster homes and will be loved and nurtured until their perfect family comes along. Arrangements will be made for you to meet the dog that you are interested in.
