| Mission Statement: |
Our goal as a Great Dane rescue in the state of Virginia is to take in,
rehabilitate, and rehome purebred Great Danes who are no longer wanted by
placing them in foster care and carefully screening potential adopters to ensure
that the perfect forever homes are found. In addition to rescuing Danes in VA,
we aim to educate the public about the breed.

| Adoption Requirements: |
| 1) No GDROC Dane will be placed in a home which intends to house the Dane outside or currently houses a dog outside |
| 2) Adopters must have a fenced in yard, invisible fences are not acceptable as the only means of containing a GDROC Dane |
| 3) If the Dane to be adopted is under 2 years old, an obedience course must be completed within 6 months of adoption and proof provided |

| Adoption Process: |
| 1) Fill out an adoption application and mail it to us |
| 2) Our volunteers will check your references, and this may take a few days |
| 3) A volunteer will call to schedule a homevisit |
| 4) Your information will be reviewed and a decision will be made as to whether you are approved or not |
