We do not believe in breeding and feel there are enough unwanted pitbull dogs in our area without adding more to the population. Unfortunately, this is the time of year we seem to have the most unwanted pits.
We are in need of qualified safe houses for adult pitbull dogs. If you could possibly help with this, please leave Jamie an E-mail. A home check and a vet reference will be required.
*Surrender requirements: We do not take animals that are dog agressive, have bitten a human or are unfriendly to children. We require them to have their first shot for their own safety. If you are unable to do this, we may be able to help get the animal its first shots. Our shelter is run out of peoples homes; mainly our own. We feel that it is hard enough to place all these pits without risking the lives of ourselves or other people. It is a sad reality that some of these dogs will never be able to function in a normal life setting. No, it's not their fault but, it is our responsibilty to keep the public safe. I personally could never live with myself if one of my dogs harmed someone. So please realize that sometimes the best option might be to go to sleep. We will be glad to help in every way possible to help make this time easier for people who need us. Please feel free to call and I will talk further about your options and will also be glad to help find a good vet in your area. Thanks for understanding.
Our rescue is committed to helping people understand pitbull dogs. We want to teach people that the name "pitbull" does not mean that every one is a killer or is going to someday "turn" and hurt someone. Pits are very friendly and make wonderful family animals. Most of them adore children and would give their lives to protect them. If you would like to learn more, please feel free to e-mail or call us. We would be glad to help you decide if a pitbull is right for your family. You will see that our pet list also includes other animals that either we are helping or is a listing for someone who needs our help placing. If you have an animal that is in need of placement, let us know because we can possibly help! Remember: Pitbulls need our help not our hate!
"I looked at all the caged animals in the
shelter...the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope,
fear and dread, sadness and betrayal.
And I was angry. "God," I said, "this is terrible!
Why don't you do something?" God was
silent for a moment and then He spoke softly.
I have done something," He replied.
"I created you."
