Who We Are
Hurricane Animal Shelter serves the communities of Hurricane and LaVerkin. Our shelter is a very modern and attractive facility. Our building is not only user friendly for visitors and staff, but also caters to the needs and comforts of our 4 legged guests as well. Our successful adoption rates are close to the highest in the state, a fact we are very proud of and work hard to maintain. We are staffed by 2 full time animal control officers and a number of wonderful, dedicated volunteers.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fees at our shelter are $30.00 for dogs and $20.00 for cats. All adopted animals are required to be spayed or neutered before placement in their new homes. Juvenile animals are adopted with a contract requiring spay/neuter by the date specified in the agreement. The two Hurricane Veterinary Clinics offer discounted vaccinations, low cost spay/neuters, and a free health exam at the time of adoption.

Our shelter is located in southern Utah, in the city of Hurricane which is approximately 20 miles NE of St. George. We are on 700 W, exactly 2 miles south of scenic US Highway 9.
