Lump is a very mellow guy. As his name implies, his favorite activity is laying around. But he doesn't mind a little petting and scratching while he does it. He will get around a little, especially to the food dish. Lump is a big, fluffy, lovable lump!
Puppies and kittens are cute, but shelters are full of them. So please --- SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PET.
A lot of people have superstitions about black cats and dogs. However, they make very good pets.
About us
Cedar City Animal Shelter is a small municipal facility. There are two full-time animal control officers and two part-time staff. The office is open Monday by appointment only, Tuesday thru Friday from 8 AM to 2 PM, and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM. It is a high-kill facility due to high volume and lack of space. Adoptable animals are kept as long as space permits.
Adopting a friend
Our adoption fees are $10 for cats and $25 for dogs. We also charge a refundable sterilization deposit of $25 for all intact animals adopted.
