ADOPTION NEWS
Our adoption fee is $15.00 per pet and the adopter is responsible for vaccinations and spay/nueter required by State Law.
An adoption application and agreement may be requested by Contacting Beverly Sartor, ACO at 325-823-2411 Monday thru Friday from 8AM TO 4PM. or you may email a request to ansonanimalshelter@msn.com and we will be more than happy to mail one.
WHO ARE WE
Anson Animal Shelter serves the Community of Anson, with a population of 2550. We have one Animal Control Officer and are currently seeking volunteers in the community to help with the animals that we care for in the shelter.
We currently have 6 dog pens and 3 cat pens. We provide adoption through application. Our Shelter hours vary. All inquires go through City Hall, Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm at 915-823-2411.
Our goal is to provide adequate animal control services to the citizens of Anson and educate them on the laws of owning a pet in our city limits and State. The Animal Control Officer will, upon reguest, provide additional education on the caring for pets, the need for spaying or neutering due to pet overpopulation, and the need for annual vaccinations in order to keep the community pets healthy and happy .
