Help Needed
The Elgin Humane Society needs help from the public in the form of volunteers, donations, and adopters. Please visit our website to see a list of donations needed or if you have a service (construction, landscaping, painting, plumbing, lawncare, etc.) that you would like to donate, please contact us. Thank you so much for your support.
Who We Are
We are a small shelter, approximately
19 miles from Austin, TX.
We take in some awesome animals,
we work hard to take care of and love on our animals
and we would like for you to stop by and visit.
Adopting a friend: 
Adoptions are made anytime during regular business hours (1-4 Monday thru Friday) and evening and weekend appointments are available. Please call us at 512-285-9636. We have worked hard to provide these bargain rate low cost adoption fees. $95 for larger breed dogs and $125 for small breed dogs and for all puppies which includes spay/neuter (if the animal is old enough), age appropriate vaccinations and de-worming if neccessary, heartworm test if age appropriate, microchip, collar and an adoption bag of Science Diet food.
$75 is the adoption fee for all cats and kittens which includes spay/neuter (if the animal is old enough), age appropriatel vaccinations de-worming if neccessary, and an adoption bag of Science Diet food.
