OCTOBER IS "ADOPT A SHELTER DOG" MONTH!!

Please join us for an autumn celebration of Texas' pets and wines!

Treasure's Story

The little white poodle was found in the middle of a road. The woman who found him located his owners...who told her they were hoping he'd get hit. She took the baby to a local veterinarian clinic. They called us. They had groomed him because he was so matted and dirty when he was brought in. We brought him to one of our Adopt-A-Pets hoping that someone would come through who could help us with him. They did. And we don't think it's a coincidence. We truly believe Someone up above was watching over this little guy and saw the vacancy in Randy and Sharon's life and brought them together. They had him named "Treasure" before they even left the Adopt-A-Pet. We've talked to them since and the little guy who wouldn't eat or bark for us, is behaving like he's "home" now and is eating well, seeing a veterinarian and barking to let Mom know there are visitors at the door!!

Zack promptly found a home with someone who adores black labs! He even has a black labrador sister now.

Roxie was too excited to "smile" for the camera. The family she'd had since she was a puppy decided they didn't want her. She found a forever family to replace them. You go, Roxie!

Miranda wasn't cooperating for her picture, either, but her new family doesn't seem to mind! The little stray kitten, born at a Lowe's store scored it big when this kind family came along!

Bowser aka Pepper is now happy in a home with a young lady that adores him and he adores her, too.

And then there's precious Abby. She has been through months of treatment for her mange, but is now well and got adopted by people who "laid on the floor and spoon fed her" to get her to eat when they got her home.

Emma found a forever family, too. She was originally dumped with her littermates and momma in the country. She looks like she knows she scored big! God bless the people who ADOPT!

Zack & Zoe's

There is an Indian legend...when a human dies there is a bridge he must cross to enter into Heaven. At the head of that bridge waits every animal he encountered during his lifetime. The animals decide which humans may cross the bridge...and which are turned away.

Our Mission Statement

Paws of Paradise Orphanage is dedicated to placing homeless animals into responsible, caring environments and to help stop pet over-population through spaying and neutering with the hope that one day, all animal shelters can be "no-kill" shelters.

Adopting a Companion

POP does off-site adoptions at various places. Our adoption procedure includes filling out an application which then goes through an approval process. Our adoption fee is $150.00. Our animals are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventative and dewormed. Your e-mail inquiries are welcomed, but please be patient. POP's number one priority always has been and always will be the care of the orphans here. Between the feedings, groomings, adoptions and vet visits, there is little spare time, however, your inquiries will be answered as soon as possible!

The need is great and endless. We will never give up trying to help these babies. They are worth our every effort. VINCERO!

These animals come into our homes and our hearts. We give them a place to stay, let them know someone cares about them and make sure they never go hungry again. Nessun dorma. However, only a permanent home can give them the security and the one on one attention these babies crave and need!! Every one of the animals out here on Petfinders need homes as well as thousands more across the country in shelters and rescues. Please, if you're seriously thinking about getting a pet, adopt from a shelter or rescue!! There are full-blooded animals available as well as the mixed breeds!

WHY BREED OR BUY, WHEN MILLIONS DIE?!!

We can rescue them.

You can adopt them.
Together we can save them.
"By the love of those I've been privileged to rescue, I have been rescued." ANNETTE KING-TUCKER

The following link is a must-see for anyone who questions the need to neuter their pet. For anyone who thinks their pet needs to have "just one litter". For those backyard breeders who consider it an easy way to make a buck. And for those who support them and the puppy mill pet stores. Please...SPAY & NEUTER!

NEUTER THEM OR CONTINUE KILLING THEM...IT'S YOUR DECISION.
