Tri-State Keeshond Rescue is a Texas Non-Profit Organization, 501 (c) (3), that rescues keeshonden from Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma. We are not a shelter; but are a group of foster homes located in the DFW area, Lubbock, Wichita Falls, Austin, San Antonio, Conroe, Houston, Baton Rouge, LA and Oklahoma City, OK. We also railroad rescue Keeshonden and assist with railroads for other breeds, to other rescuers or qualified forever homes in other areas of the country.
Rescue includes retrieving lost or abandoned Keeshonden from animal shelters, puppy mills and owner release situations.
Our rescue Keeshonden stay with us long enough for us to ensure good health and even temperament.
Since Keeshonden are companion animals, most of our rescued Keeshonden are inside dogs and this is a primary consideration when considering a potential home.
We always need additional foster homes, so if you might be interested in helping to foster, please let us know.

Adopting a friend
Please contact us if you wish you adopt one of our rescue kees, so we may send you our adoption application. We will contact the three personal references you provide for us on the application and your vet reference. A rescue volunteer schedules a home visit after each application has been processed; we need to meet with the adoptive family to make sure the rescue keeshond will be a good match for them. Adopters sign an adoption contract as the final step in the adoption process.
