We are a small group of individuals who are concerned about the growing number of homeless pets that are ending up in shelters in the East Tennessee region. All of our pets are evaluated for placement by very experienced owners. All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, tested for heartworms and started on preventative. All livestock is vaccinated, wormed, treated for lice and mites and hoof care. There is a $175 adoption fee for all dogs to off-set medical costs. Livestock adoption fees vary from animal to animal.
Due to the overwhelming cost of medical care for these animals, we are now accepting donations to help defray some of the money already spent to get them ready for their new homes.
If you are not in a position to adopt a pet at this time and would still like to help make a difference....we would be very grateful for any monetary donation. Every little bit helps!!

We here at Heart 4 Pets do our very best to ensure that each and every animal in our care gets a second chance at a wonderful, new life. If you are interested in a particular animal, please send a letter to the above address or an email to Heart 4 Pets at Heart4pets37807@yahoo.com to request an adoption application and one will be sent to you via email or if you request, will send you one through the mail. Once that application is completed and returned, we will then review it thoroughly. We will check both personal and vet references. After the application is reviewed and accepted, we will then contact the potential adopter to schedule a home visit. The entire process takes a few weeks, depending on geographic locations. We appologize for the inconvenience, but feel that it is absolutely crutial to find the best possible match for both the adopters and the animals. Absolutely NO animal that Heart 4 Pets adopts out is to be "tied" and NONE of the livestock is to be used for food. Proper fencing and housing is required for the particular animal that you wish to adopt. Thank you so much for considering rescue.....you can really make a difference!
