NEWS

WE ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF FOSTER HOMES!!!

If you would like to foster an animal please contact us, without foster homes we can not rescue. Foster homes make all of this possible.

We are in desperate need of donations if you can donate anything please click the paypal button or email us for our address if you would like to send a donation.

It is that time of year again when our pets are getting ready to be due for their annual checkups and shots. It costs $75 per animal pending no problems or additional vet work. Please help us by donating towards their shots. If you would like it to be for a specific animal please tell us and we will make sure that your donation goes soley to that animal. Also please remember that there are other animals that you can sponser that are not available for adoption for one reason or another.

We also desperately need flea medications, heartworm medications, toys, vitamins, dog food.

We are a small rescue that is funded soley on donations. We need dog houses, dog food, crates, blankets, toys, collars, leashes and monitary donations.

We would like to thank everyone who has adopted an animal from us. You have helped save a life, and giving a rescued animal a forever loving home!! We would also like to thank Don and Jean, Rhonda, Joan, Ellen, Ann, Eddie, Bonnie, Don and Laura for their donations for our animals. These donations have helped more than we could ever tell you. You have all helped us save a life, and we are forever greatful for that.

Who We Are

We are a small group of people that love animals, and want to help as many as we can find forever loving homes. Our passion is Chow Chows and Pit Bulls, but we do not pick and choose. If an animal needs our help we will try our best to save them. We do not accept owner turn-ins, but we will list them for you and try our hardest to help find a good home. Our animals mainly are strays, or have been pulled from a kill shelter. We are strictly NO-KILL, we belive that every animal deserves a chance, and we will do our best to give that to them. We do not have a shelter all animals are kept in a home environment. We try our best to evaluate every animal in every situation, and expose them to all noises and situations that are in an everyday household.

We do cross post some animals that are in kill shelter, so if an animal is listed as Urgent, they are not here. We are tring to get them out of that particular shelter. Please contact that shelter if you are interested in an animal there.

Adopting a friend

If you are interested in adopting an animal, an adoption application MUST be filled out first. There is a link to our application on this page and on each animals personal page. ALL Vet references and personal references will be checked. Last a home visit will be done, no exceptions.

Please understand that applications are not approved on a first come first serve basis. We approve our applications only after making the decision on who could be the best home for each animal. By filling out an application you do you have to adopt the animal, nor do we have to approve the application.

Please understand that we just want to insure that each animal is in a safe and in a loving home for the rest of their lives. These animals have been discarded and thrown out once, and our goal is to insure that this will never happen again.

PIT BULL TYPE DOGS

We do have a great love for Pit bulls and American Staffordshire Terriers, and we are greatful for all the help we have had rescueing them. Anyone that has a sincere love for these breeds are more than welcome to contact us. Adoptions for Pit Bull type dogs will be handled differently. Most dogs that will be placed in a home with other dogs will have to go to a home with the oppisite sex. A Vet check and home visit will be done. NO DOGS WILL BE ADOPTED OUT FOR FIGHTING, GUARDING OR BREEDING PURPOSES!! If you breed Pit bulls or AM Staffs we also can not approve you. These are the worst and most commonly abused dogs, and we are working hard to educate people to let them know how wonderful this breed really is, so we will not promote breeders at any time. Please understand that we get alot of requests for dogs for breeding purposes and other reasons that we will not go along with. For the safety of this breed we have to screen very carefully for a placement in this breed catagory.

CHOW CHOWS

Chows are magnificent pets, and are very loyal to their owners. Thay are extremely smart and loving. Chows are clean by nature, and are not apt to go play in the mud puddle with your German Shepherd. Chows are often misunderstood by people who do not understand the breeds unique nature, They are naturally suspicious of strangers, they take their homes and family very seriously as well as their responsibility to protect what they love. The Chows natural aloofness, dignity and indefference to people outside his family is often misinterpreted by people who expect all dogs to be outwardly friendly and affectionate. The Chow saves their affections for those they loves most dearly and finds little reason to seek attention from anyone else. He minds his own business and simply does not care what strangers think of him. We strongly reccomend researching the Chow breed before adopting one. We have information if you would like to look it over. They are great animals, but they must be understood. I was personally scared of them when I got my first Chow rescue and I have since fallen in love with her (she never made it to petfinder) She is now 13 years old., and one of the greatest loves of my life. I will always have a Chow in my life. This is a love that no other breed can offer. Once you are loved by a Chow you will always want one in your life!!! FOR A LOVE LIKE NO OTHER ADOPT A RESCUED CHOW.

Location

We are located in Allons, Tennessee, right between Nashville and Knoxville. We are about 30 miles north of Cookeville.

Please e-mail us if there is an animal that you would like to meet. Please remember that our animals are all in foster homes they are not all in one area, we will be glad to set up a time that works for us all. We do have jobs, families, and everyday lives so please be patient. Our animals are not in a shelter facility and we do not have hours of operation. We are more than willing to meet anyone and discuss an animal or an adoption, but please be patient as most of us in this rescue are running in circles but we will try to meet you as soon as we can.
