Who We Are
Cleveland Animal Control is a division of the Cleveland, TN Police Department. This facility is primarily for housing stray dogs and cats, as well as some owner relinquished pets.
Adopting a friend
Adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis, on the day the pet is "available". Adoption fees have recently changed. Pets under 3 months old will cost $25.00 to adopt. Pets 3 months and older will cost $35.00 to adopt. This fee includes a $10.00 rabies vaccine. No longer included will be the spay/neuter, deworming and puppy/kitten vaccines. Please consult the shelter or your local veterinarian for costs associated with these procedures. All pets adopted from the shelter will be required to be spayed or neutered, and a fine will be charged the owner if this is not complied with. We are, unfortunately, not able to ship pets.
Special Events!
The shelter wish list is still active! Please watch for our list of most needed items! Currently, we are in need of cat litter (clay) and funds designated to help the Animal Control Officers purchase supplies and print materials relating to pet care for the local school children. This is turning out to be a great program, educating children on how properly take care of their animals. Also, with flea and tick season in full swing, Adam's flea and tick spray would be greatly appreciated!
