Jennifer's Rescues

Our Pet List

News!

We have had so much wonderful feedback and response to our rescue that we have been able to find homes for everyone we have listed in record time! Our dogs have managed to find excellent homes all over the United States! Thanks to everyone who has emailed and called and especially to the families who have adopted one of our precious pets! :)

Who We Are

Jennifer's Rescues began unofficially 11 years ago when my husband and I first met. Our mutual love and compassion for animals has been one of the most defining aspects of us as a couple. That said, there are so many neglected and abused animals in our area that we knew we had to establish a place for at least some of them to come to be rehabilitated, not only physically, but also and in some cases more importantly, mentally and socially. All our animals are healthy and comfortable with human kindness before being offered for adoption. We do NOT misrepresent our pets. You will be informed of both good and bad (if any) habits. We are a no kill shelter, and due to this, we sometimes have animals long term until just the right home comes along. We are dedicated to only housing a comfortable number of animals so that everyone receives much needed attention. We also frequently have animals who require a lot of medical attention and we strive to provide this as opposed to boarding the pet in a hospital where human contact is minimal. We are dedicated to rescued companion animals only.

Adopting a friend

Adoption is a pretty painless process around here. Adoption fees are based on medical care provided. All dogs are vaccinated against parvo, distemper, influenza and bordatella, wormed and started on heartworm preventative. All cats are tested for and vaccinated against leukemia, distemper and peritonitis. All pets are neutered/spayed if they reach 4 months of age. Older pets are neutered/spayed shortly after arrival and vet check. We have a short application in which we sometimes require a veterinary reference. We also have an adoption agreement which requires that the pet be returned to Jennifer's Rescues if there are any problems, as opposed to being passed to another owner, or placed in another shelter. Home visits are also possible. We accept adoption payments through PayPal.com

Volunteering and Donations

If you would like to volunteer at Jennifer's Rescues please don't hesitate to drop me a call or an email and I'm sure we can come up with something. All volunteers are welcome! Donations in the form of food, kitty-litter, bedding, crates, leashes and collars are also welcome. We also accept donations through PayPal.com.
Please consider adopting a rescued companion animal if you are considering an addition to your family. All our animals have sad beginnings and only you can provide the happy endings! :)
