ARK PET ADOPTION PROCESS

Adopters are asked to complete a short adoption contract. This eliminates "whim" adoptions and provides an opportunity to be sure you get the right pet the first time. *** All Ark pets have current vaccinations, have been examined by our veterinarians, have been de-wormed, and are already spayed or neutered. Each Ark pet comes with a personalized veterinary record. (Puppies and kittens are spayed/neutered when old enough. This is included in their adoption fee.) Cats and dogs are on flea and tick prevention. Dogs are on heartworm prevention. Any needed veterinary care has been done prior to being offered for adoption. All cats are available for the low cost adoption fee of only $99, while most dogs are available for only $125.*** Ark pets have already been socialized, so adopters can be certain of getting the right match. Socialized pets, careful screening, and comprehensive veterinary care BEFORE adoption, contribute to the Ark's highly successful adoption rates. In the rare event the pet you adopt does not work out, the Ark will happily take the pet back and refund your money. ... Low cost Humane Animal Rescue Team spay neuter applications may be picked up at The Ark Adoption and Resource Center at 2163 North Ocoee Street. This program is funded by the sell of "animal friendly" license plates and is done in your local veterinarian's office.
