A VERY SAD DAY FOR US. OCTOBER 3-2008. OUR DOXIE, BENNIE, WHO WAS RESCUED FROM THE CC PORTER SHELTER IN ABINGDON,VA 3 YRS AGO THIS CHRISTMAS, HAS GONE TO BE WITH THE LORD. BENNIE WAS ABOUT 10 YRS OLD AND RECENTLY STARTED FEELING BAD. X- RAYS THIS MORNING SHOWED CANCER AROUND HIS LIVER, SPLEEN AND HAD SPREAD INTO HIS LUNGS. I WAS WITH BENNIE AS HE LEFT US TO START HIS NEW JOURNEY. BENNIE ALWAYS TOOK CARE OF THE KITTENS AND PUPPIES HERE WHEN THEY CAME IN. HE LEFT A HOLE IN OUR HEARTS, BUT IN HEAVEN THERE ARE MILLIONS OF ANIMALS FOR HIM TO RUN AND PLAY WITH. GOD SPEED. TILL WE MEET AGAIN. I LOVE YOU BENSTER. A DONATIONS IN HIS MEMORY WILL BE MADE TO THE BRIDGE HOME NO KILL RESCUE WHO ARE TAKING DONATIONS TO BUILD A NO KILL SHELTER. ATTENTION SULLIVAN COUNTY RESIDENTS.. You can help the animals in our area by sponsoring a dog, cat, puppy or kitten. Foster homes are needed as well. We accept aluminum cans, blankets, sheets, cat and dog food, dry and canned, kitty litter, crates, dewormer meds, flea meds, dog kennels, prefer 10x10x6 for the bigger dogs, dog houses or someone to build dog houses of all sizes. You can now send a check to our Vet to sponsor a spay or neuter or vaccinations. Remember your Purina weight circles, we use and need these to help buy dog and cat food or Vet checks. You will find these circles on any Purina dog,cat, puppy or kitten chow.
SPAY AND NUETER, thats the only way to stop the unwanted litters. If you just dont have the time to volunteer or are allergic to pets, you may want to sponsor one. Let us know. Thank You.

Who We Are
We are a group of Christian volunteers who are dedicated to helping God's creatures. We rely solely on donations to keep our mission going, we are not funded by the state or county. Any and all donations are used to buy dog, cat, kitten or puppy food, kitty litter, flea meds or deworming meds, antibiotics or placed in our spay/neuter fund. At present time, we are helping other families with 150 lbs of kitty litter per week, 125 lbs of dog food per week, 50 lbs of cat food per week. We appreciate and accept all pet food or pet supply coupons. Please mail to our PO box. 1067, BLUFF CITY, TN. 37618. DONT FORGET YOUR PURINA WEIGHT CIRCLES, we use them as well. Recently, we were able to get a $100 Vet Check sent to our Vet from saving these circles.
Adopting a friend
Dont forget by spaying or neutering your pet at 6 months of age or sooner, you can stop the unwanted litters before they start. Many wonderful pets can be found at local shelters and age does not really matter. We have rescued several older dogs and cats. The bigger dogs seem to have a hard or sometime an impossible time being adopted. Rottweilers, Pit Bulls and German Shepherds especially. We have seen many wonderful former pets in these breeds. Definitely, nothing to be afraid of owning or rescuing any of these if they pass the temperment testing. Give the big ones a hug for us.
