PLEASE, do not buy your new family member from backyard breeders. It is not right and it is irresponsible. If you get one from a rescue or shelter, you will be saving a life from certain death. Buying from backyard breeders in turn kills one in a shelter because you could have saved that one instead.

Please Spay/Neuter all your pets! If you need assistance in doing this contact: C.A.R.E. 894-4926 We will send you a LOW COST certificate for you to fix your pet(s) at one of our participating vet clinics. It's very simple to do! You'll love how easy it is!

C.A.R.E.'s spay program has prevented thousands of unwanted animals from having no place to go! We will continue to SPAY and NEUTER!!! By spaying one animal we are saving the lives of thousands!!! Spaying is the only way to make a difference in the number of animals euthanized each year in this area. Thank you for your continued support!

Who We Are

C.A.R.E. is a not-for-profit organization established under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. C.A.R.E. is comprised entirely of concerned volunteers. Our goal is to reduce the numbers of animals euthanized due to pet overpopulation in Chattanooga and the surrounding area. We do not have a shelter and presently maintain our animals in foster homes. C.A.R.E. has a spay/neuter program for low income families and for people who take in strays. We also supply pet food via our "Meals on Wheels" program to ensure that pets of low income families receive proper nutrition.

Our Adoption Fee for DOGS & PUPPIES is $50.00 which includes current vaccinations, deworming, heartworm test/heartworm preventative, nail clipping, a bag of Science Diet dry food and a Spay or Neuter.

Our Adoption Fee for ADULT CATS & KITTENS is $50.00 which includes FeLV/FIV testing, current shots, deworming, Nail Clipping, bag of Science Diet dry food, a Spay or Neuter and a very nice carrier.

After You Adopt

We are proud of our "customer service" for after the adoption. If you have any questions or concerns, we are more than happy to answer any questions and give advice to help make the additional family member have a smoother transition into your family. We are always here to help. Feel free to call whenever a question or concern arises. Our pets are also health guaranteed.

Volunteering and Donations

Help Us Help Them
C.A.R.E. is always in need of volunteers, foster homes, food, litter and cash donations for vet bills. All of our programs are funded through fundraising and donations. All donations are fully tax-deductable. Some cats are unadoptable for various reasons and as a result of our no-kill policy have become permanent residents of one of our cat houses (Barney House, Azelia House & Juliette's Emporium). When you make a donation to CARE you are not only helping to support our adoptions but you are supporting the lives of these cats. Call or e-mail if you have any questions about us or our programs.
