Elsy is a Terrier mix. She was brought to the shelter by a family who could no longer care for her. Elsy does have a playful side She also likes to play tug of war with you . Elsy also has a small issue with nipping cats so we are reccommending that she go to a home without felines.

Please don't litter! If you need assistance with the costs of having your pets spayed or neutered, we can help through our PUBLIC ASSISTANCE S/N PROGRAM. To qualify for the program, you must bring your most recent tax return, social security or disability statement AND your pet's vaccination records to the shelter. Based on your income, which must be $35,000 or less, you will pay no more than $50 to have you pet sterilized. Any questions? Give us a call at the shelter & we'll be glad to help you!
Who We Are
The mission of The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach is to find loving and permanent homes for abandoned animals; provide first-rate veterinary care through our experienced, local veterinarians; offer low-cost spay and neuter programs for dogs and cats; and to reach out to children, teachers, and parents through the education of pet responsibility. The heart of our organization is our dedication and professionalism.
Adopting a friend
Adoption Fees are $70 (we also offer reduced rates for senior citizens ages 60 and above). This includes the spay or neuter surgery (which is performed before the animal goes home), at least one set of shots and worming, and a Rabies vaccine if the animal is 12 weeks of age or older. All dogs 4 months of age or older are tested for Heartworms. All cats are tested for Feline Leukemia.
Each adopter receives a complete medical record for their pet as well as information on health care and training tips. Each adopter also receives a "care kit" for their new pet plus a free bag of pet food, compliments of Pedigree.
Micro-chipping is also available for an additional $25 donation.
