Our Featured Pet...
AMBER!!

"Hi, my name is Amber. When I first was found, I was so neglected and sad and now that I have a foster home, I am so happy and playful. I just love everyone. I can't wait to have my own forever home but, don't forget you MUST have a fenced in yard for me - I 'm just too playful. Please request an application for me."

News
Wow, is it hot already. With temperatures already reaching 100 degrees please make sure all your pets have shade and water. Pets can suffer the same problems that humans can such as overheating, dehydration and even sunburn. Also, don't forget that you should NEVER leave your pet in a parked car as the temperature could reach 120 degrees in a matter of minutes!
We are seeking dedicated volunteers to help with fostering, fund raising, lost and found, adoption event coordinators and many other departments within our organization If you would like to help, please email us and let us know what you are willing do to help our homeless pets.
IF YOU SEE SOMEONE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADOPT, TRANSPORTATION IS AVAILABLE WITHIN A REASONABLE DISTANCE, don't let our location discourage you
Who We Are
The primary and motivating concern of the Golden Corner Animal Guardians is the “Protection and welfare of creatures great and small”. Though we are not opposed to the legitimate and appropriate utilization of animals in the service of man, such utilization gives man neither the right nor the license to exploit or abuse any animal in the process.
Our tools will be leadership, education and action, using such legal means as are most effective and are at our disposal. We shall endeavor to promote animal welfare in specific situations and strive to bring about new respect for all living things. Including, but not limited to, our companion animals that find themselves homeless through no fault of their own.
We will provide shelter, training, vetting and new homes for the less fortunate companion animals that find themselves in our area shelter or victims of abuse and/or neglect.
GCAG is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization, any and all donations are tax deductable.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in a pet on our site, please email for an application. Once references are checked, we will contact you about meeting the pet you are interested in. If you decide that you would like to adopt, we will schedule a home visit to ensure that the enviroment is apppropriate and finalize the adoption. We ask that a contract stating the pet will be returned to only GCAG Inc, if the adoption does not work out for either party. Adoption fees are directly associated with vet bills and will be evaluated per animal.
All pets are treated with either Frontline or Advantage to eliminate any fleas. They are groomed prior to going to their new home. We test each animal with cats, children and dogs.
Dogs/Puppies are cratetrained and if old enough, housebroken. Most are leash trained and possess manners expected of a housedog.
Cats/Kittens are littertrained and have nails clipped weekly to get them used to the procedure. All are treated for earmites, if necessary, and are handled frequently to ensure a loving companion.
We strive to make all our animals house pets, not 'outside dogs' or 'free range' cats. It is our goal to place happy and healthy family members. Please keep in mind that all pets that make it to our rescue have been either abandonded, abused or neglected by others. Sometimes there will be problems when these pets go to their new homes, having (in their eyes) been abandoned, once again. We are here to help make the transition easier on everyone. Feel free to call and ask questions, there is always a solution.
