Who We Are
We are a non-profit animal organization located in southern Rhode Island. We are dedicated to placing homeless cats, dogs and ferrets into responsible homes. Our animals come from homes, so we know the background of each animal and we try to place them into the most suitable home for them.
Adopting a Friend
We have an application that potential adopters must fill out. The application takes 24 to 48 hours to process. An adopter must be at least 21 years old. If one rents, a lease or the property owner's phone number must be presented before an adoption takes place. If one owns, we will verifiy ownership. If one has any dogs, cats, or ferrets on their property, we check to make sure they are up to date on necessary shots, and spayed or neutered. Dogs need to have a current town license also. Cats are a $25.00 fee and dogs are a $35.00 fee. Any animal that is not altered, there is a $40.00 refundable spay/neuter deposit.
Volunteering and Donations
Volunteers are required to fill out a waiver form. Children under 18 years of age must have their parent or guardian fill out and sign a waiver form for them. Any children under 14 years of age must have an adult with them on the premises at all times.
All donations are greatly appreciated. We take dry dog and cat food, canned dog and cat food, treats, toys, towels, newpaper, aluminum cans and of course money. Money donations go to special diets, medical expenses, and other care and maintenance of the animals during their stay.

Take exit 9 (route 4), route 4 turns into route 1. Follow route 1 to University of Rhode Island exit or route 138 West. Go 3 miles until 1st light, and take left at light on to route 108. Go 2 miles until 1st light, and take right on to Curtis Corner Rd. Go exactly 1 mile, we are on the left side. (pass the SK pound).
