Our Featured Pet...Melody & Magic...These 2 gorgeous horses ( just check out their pics on our pet list) are in dire need of a good home. I am losing my location here so I've reduced the adoption fee for these 2 considerably. Can you help these sweet kids find a new pasture to call their own?

We are losing our location!
Due to layoffs and divorce PawsAbilities is losing it's current location (my home)! I am on the lookout for a new location and an animal loving landlord who is willing to help. I would love to relocate to the Winston area so that I could volunteer at Wildlife Safari. If you know of a small 1-2 bedroom home to rent that would allow a few rescue dogs to shuffle through on a regular basis please contact Nanci at pawsabilitiesoregon@hotmail.com
Who We Are
PawsAbilities is a rescue dedicated to finding new forever homes for dogs and exotic birds (with the occasional ferret or other pet thrown in just to keep us on our toes). We are not breed specific and will accept anyone (pawed or clawed) provided we have the room to be able to provide optimal care for them.
We are located in the hills above Dallas, Oregon on 10 acres. Our animals usually come to us in one of 3 ways.
1) From local Veterinarians.
2) From local Animal Control.
3) From private individuals.
We keep these animals as long as we need to in order to find them a home. We are a no-kill shelter!
We have been in business for about a year now, although I have been rescuing animals "unofficially" since I was a child. Our primary goal is to find the animals good "forever" homes. Our ultimate goal is to have the rescue paying for itself by means of adoption fees along with gifts of food, toys, etc... As I'm sure you're aware, pet food, vet visits and medications are very costly.
Gifts of any pet related items are greatly appreciated and of course cash gifts are always welcome and are usually deposited staight into our rescue account at our Vet's office. I would like to use some money in the near future to put up some kennels and to fence approx. 1 an acre into a nice play & socialization area, and to purchase some more Parrot cages.
We will notify you as to how your gift was utilized.
Adopting a friend
To adopt an animal from PawsAbilities you must fill out a questioaire about yourself, your home environment and your past experiences with animals. Then you must fill out an adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee and take home the new addition to your family.
Adoption fees sometimes vary from animal to animal. Depending upon medical care, training, etc...
Adoptions include a free health check with our primary veterinarian, and all dogs recieve their vaccinations.
We love it when people stay in touch. We are always available to answer any questions you may have for as long as you own your pet. If we don't know the answer, rest assured we will find someone who does!
If for some reason your new pet doesn't work out, we ask that you return the animal to us. That way, it comes back to a familiar place and doesn't fall into the dreaded "home bouncing" syndrome.
We do not give refunds although we will provide an appropriate exchange when available.
We prefer not to ship any of our rescue animals. This makes it easier for them to be returned to us if a problem arises.
