News: We are sorry to report that Mitch our old manager has flown our coup. She is off for more adventures and we will miss her. We do have a new manager to try and fill her shoes. We are proud to introduce Beau Putnam. He will try to take care of your needs. Just call the shelter, 541-564-6222.
Earlier this year we received a gift from Mary Ellen Paul through the Good Shepherd Health Foundation, that allowed us to remodel our cat room. We now have 3 spacious kennels that hold many cats. They have more room to move about and different levels to find a sleeping place. We are so excited for the generous donation of this caring lady. Thank you!-->
Who We Are
We are the Humane Society of Eastern Oregon / Pet Rescue. We are a municipal shelter for the City of Hermiston and we also serve as an adoption agency for not only our local area but for two other counties as well. We do our best to enhance and enrich the lives of pets in our care until they are found new forever homes.
Our hours of operation are 12 noon to 6pm Tuesday thru Saturday. Be sure to call us at 541-564-6222 between 12 noon and 6pm Tuesday thru Saturday for a current information about a pet, Directions to our shelter, or any other information.
We always have a great selection of small, medium, and large dogs available for adoption. We update our Petfinder list as we are able. but sometimes we have something that is not on the site yet. It's always worth a phone call

From Highway 395 you will Turn West on Theater Lane, Left on Geer Rd, at 1844 NW Geer Rd, Hermiston, OR.
Hermiston is 3 hours East of Portland, 5 hours South East of Seattle, 45 minutes from Tri-Cities, and 4 hours North West of Boise.
Business hours are 12noon to 6pm Tuesday thru Saturday.
