We will be at the Okmulgee Chili Festival, Saturday, October 18, at downtown Okmulgee, Ok. Come by and visity us. We will not be having anymore spay/neuter clinics this year, but we can arrange for you to take your pet to a local vet for the same low cost. To apply, come by the shelter, 1239 N. Okmulgee, Mon. - Friday., 9am to 1pm to fill out a form and pay in advance. Please bring verification of household income. To qualify, your household must have a total annual gross income of $35,000 or less. The cost is $45 for a dog, $30 for a cat, and $5 for a rabies shot if not current.

Who We Are

We are comprised of a small group of volunteers who work at the Okmulgee Animal Shelter to adopt shelter animals and to work with the community in finding lost pets, placing animals outside of the shelter, and to assist in any way we can with the care and well being of animals. Volunteers are available at the shelter Mon. - Fri.. 9am to 1pm. To view or adopt animals after hours, call 918-756-6320 or 918-756-1743.

Adopting a friend

Our dog adoptions fee is $60, $100, or $125. The purpose of our fee schedule is to make the more common, large mix breed dogs more attractive for adoption. The higher fees are for small and purebred dogs. The fee increase will help to supplement revenue for medical and other expenses. We also require you sign a contract Map to our shelter
