Who We Are
We are the Oklahoma Great Pyrenees Rescue Association out of Oklahoma City, trying to model ourselves after the Texas Organization in numbers of volunteer, foster homes and adoptions. We are working with the Sulphur organization, the Texas and Arkansas org. and the Oklahoma City Shelter to get this off the ground so that we may continue to help this great breed in a big way. Our goal is to educate the public about what the breed is all about and to discourage the large amount of back yard breeding and $50.00 dogs which end up in the shelters in this state. Visit our web site at http://www.okgpra.com .
Adopting a friend
As seen on the web site, We have an adoption application that may be filled out on line as well as a foster home application. You must have a fence large enough and intact to confine a Great Pyrenees. You will get a telephone interview as well as a home visit to make sure that you have adequate fencing and housing for the PYr. Adoption fee is $200.00 to cover vetting expenses.
