Happy Tails of Southern Ohio Canine Rescue and Transport helps pay for innoculations and basic veterinary care of Pike County Dog Pound dogs and puppies that need to have vet visits before they can be transported to other Rescues or No-kill shelters.

How you can help
PLEASE ADOPT OR RESCUE from our pound. We have many, many puppies and dogs coming in everyday. Unfortunately, we are a small, rural pound with very limited space. All of these wonderful dogs and puppies are in need of new homes or rescues as soon as possible. We try our best to hold dogs for as long as possible and make every attempt to place dogs and puppies into loving homes or rescues. We are very adopter and rescue friendly. Please contact us by phone at 740-947-5996 as soon as possible if you see a dog or puppy that you are interested in adopting or rescuing.
WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED of vaccinations and supplies, such as towels to use when bathing our dogs in our DONATED BOOSTER BATH and flea medication (Capstar) for the dogs and puppies. Please help by donating. All donations may be tax-deductible on an itemized return (check with your tax advisor). If you can make a donation to help the dogs and puppies, it would be very much appreciated. Please send it to the Pound address below.

Our Friends at Bristol Village, Happy Tails of Southern Ohio - Canine Rescue and Transport , The Litter Box Pet Store, Richie Foods (space for RASCAL unit ) - A special Thank You to Kellie at the Columbus Dog Connection for the donation of 16 elevated dog beds and dog food. The Pike Pound dogs will be much more comfortable this winter! Also, thank you to a sweet young lady, Kristen Sarver, for her donation of dog food. Thank you to our newest friend for the donation of a washing machine to wash our dog bathing towels and transport blankets!

Adopting a friend
Our adoption fee is $12 plus $8.00 for a license. We are very rescue friendly. The Pound cannot guarantee the temperment or health of dogs and puppies and strongly recommends taking the adopted dog or puppy to the vet as soon as possible. Please contact us or stop by for more information on adopting any of our wonderful dogs and puppies.
