Pet of the Month
We have been getting a lot of great letters and photos of our adopted dogs from their new families. It is so rewarding to hear how happy they are in their new homes and how happy their new families are with them. Good management and secure confinement can turn lots of neglected strays into great pets. All it takes is a little time and patience.
We don't have the time to put all of our adoptable dogs on the web site. Come and look.
Come and visit. Come to our play room and have a romp with the dog you are interested in. The dogs will love it, and you might find a friend!!!
News
Our kennels are now airconditioned in the summer and have a new drop ceiling which reduces the noise that can come from barking. We have a great place for you to interact with a potential pet, away from the other dogs. Our adoption fees for all adoption dogs are $50.00, plus the purchase of a current dog license.
Who We Are
We handle only dogs and enforce dog laws in Lucas County, which is in northwest Ohio, including the City of Toledo. We seize about 300 dogs monthly.
Adopting a friend
Although we have a predominantly stray population, many are very friendly, handleable and easily trained dogs that need a little extra good management to get started right.
