Pet Guards is at this time cat-only shelter. We currently have as many cats as we feel that we can care for well and are not taking in any more until we have found homes for the many that we have. We no longer have the facilities to house dogs or puppies, nor do we have the facilities or funding to handle wild or feral cats. Our waiting list has become so long that we have stopped adding new cats to it.

To meet any of the fabulous felines waiting for a new home, our adoption center is inside U-Bathe-M, 2427 State Rd., Cuyahoga Falls. Wed-Fri 9-4 and Sat-Sun 10-2. If you would like to meet one of our wonderful felines in the evening, please contact us for a time to make sure a volunteer will be there to show you around. Whether its a cat or kitten you are looking for, we hope that you will come in and meet all of our deserving felines.

Pet Guards Clinic is as always open to the public and treats dogs and cats of all ages. For vaccinations and well-checks, no appointment is necessary. Appointments are required for spay/neuter surgeries. Stop into Pet Guards during regular business hours: Tuesday through Friday between 12 noon to 6 pm and Saturday between 10 am to 4 pm.

Pet Guards Shelter is a private, not-for-profit, no-kill, and no time limit humane organization located in northeastern Ohio. The Shelter is funded entirely by donations from individuals and companies, and would not be able to serve as many animals as it does without the generousity of the community. The shelter is not affiliated with any humane society nor supported by any government or tax dollars.

Pet Guards Shelter is dedicated to providing temporary shelter for displaced animals that are waiting for permanent loving homes. A primary mission of the shelter is to reduce the overpopulation of pet animals through providing low-cost spaying and neutering, and to lower the regular costs of pet ownership by offering low-cost vaccinations.

Our adoption center is open at U-Bathe-M at 2427 State Road in Cuyahoga Falls. Adoption Center hours are Wed-Sat 9-3, Sun 10-3 and evenings by appointment. Cats that are located there are indicated on their bios to be at U-Bathe-M. Pets CANNOT be dropped off at this location.

Some of the long term residents who are still waiting for homes are located at our original facility at 950 Hardy Rd. These are cats that either have been with us for a long time, or have some other reason live in larger, more long term living areas. If you are interested in one of these, you will have to ask specifically to see them.

Beyond the no-kill, no time limit shelter, Pet Guards is a community veterinary mission offering low-cost spay, neuter, vaccinations and referral program to pet owners in northeastern Ohio. Appointments are made for spay/neuter services on the 15th of each month in person (no appointments by phone), while vaccines and general veterinary exams are available during regular business hours on a walk-in basis. Vaccine prices start at $5.

Volunteers, who are always needed and welcome, are encouraged to apply in-person at the clinic's front desk during regular business hours.
