The Forgotten Animal Shelter is a tax-exempt, 501 (c) (3), nonprofit corporation. Our primary mission is to build and maintain a no-kill, no-time-limit animal shelter on our twelve (12) acres of land in Litchfield, Ohio.
Small pets will not be only focus. We also care about large pets, farm animals, wild animals, zoo animals, and so on. Our organization is always looking and listening for new ideas and helpful constructive criticisms. We currently are not fostering any more animals than those on this Petfinder site due to limited funding and the necessity to direct the majority of our current funding to our shelter project. However, when the animals listed on this site are adopted, we will foster additional animals assuming space (foster homes) are available.
We may be able to direct you to some no-time-limit organization or facility that will be able to take in animals. Also, F.A.S. has been trying to compile a contact list of foster/adoptive homes that may help someone trying to place a pet. We need to sign up more foster homes to be of great service to animals, animal lovers, and the communities which we serve. Unfortunately, there are more pets needing to be placed than F.A.S. has foster home contacts. If you would be willing to foster a pet (s), please let us know and we will add you to our list of urgently valuable resources.
If you are interested in adopting any of the animals listed on our website, please contact the individual listed for that animal. As a service to those individuals that are trying to find homes for an animal(s) they need to surrender or have rescued and can not keep, we will list those animals pictures and bios on our Petfinder.com site.
