Foster Homes:

It is sad to report that we have many animals in less than ideal homes, that can not be removed due to a lack of a foster home to place the animal with during the judicial process. If you have the love, time and space to help an animal in need, PLEASE contact us if you can help in some way.

Low cost spay/neuter program

This service is brought to this area by the

Ashtabula County Humane Society

in conjunction with the Pet Fix Program.

 

To qualify pet's eligibility, owner must provide one of the following forms of proof:

 

*       Low income housing, Section 8 approval

*       Ohio Works First Program

*       Medicaid

*       Social Security Benefits Income

*       Disability Income

*       Food Stamp Program Recipient

*       WIC Program

*       Supplemental Security Income

*       Low Income Guidelines, Single person under $14,355. Family of four under$29,025

*       Recommendation by private veterinarian

 

Feral (wild) cats are eligible for surgery without regard to income,

IF caregiver continues to feed them.  Feral cats must be brought in live traps.

Dogs can't weigh over 60 lbs, due to space restrictions for surgery and recovery.

Rabies vaccinations are available for an additional $6.00.   Proof of Rabies vaccination is required by Ohio State law.

Please remember we need your monetary donations to keep going. If you can help to keep us out of the red please do so. We know things are tough, but they are tough on the animals too. They are our main concern. Thanks to those who have helped and thanks to those who soon will. Grants have been applied for, but that is always a slow process and no guarantee of success. The Ashtabula County Humane Society is having a fundraiser.

There’s nothing to buy. We are simply asking you to donate your used cell phones and inkjet cartridges. Your donation will help protect the environment. Your unwanted cell phones and inkjet cartridges will be recycled in accordance with EPA regulations or refurbished and sold. All of the proceeds from the items we collect will help fund The Ashtabula County Humane Society work with the animals.

We greatly appreciate your support! We’re not asking you for cash donations! Donations of your unwanted cell phones and inkjet cartridges can mean support for our organization. You will be giving old technology new life and keep it from polluting our landfills. Did you know that cell phones contain toxic materials such as arsenic, lead and zinc?
