Who We Are
LIFELINE FOSTERS NORTHEAST is a Petfinder site for fosters in NY and PA to list their pets for adoption. We are a group of individuals who rescue independently and so there is no building, but each of us fosters individually in our homes. We rescue from many different shelters--and frequently bring animals into our group who might otherwise lose their lives. While we try and stick with poms, terriers, and small dogs, we also take in puppies as they become "urgent" in shelters. Most of all, we take in as many wonderful seniors as possible--those wonderful dogs who make such devoted pets and give so much love, especially to senior citizens. And they are almost always already housetrained. So if you have a senior looking for a senior pet, check back often.

Adopting a friend
LIFELINE FOSTERS NORTHEAST uses one adoption application and contract for all it's fosters. Costs are based on what it costs us to rescue the dogs. EACH DOG YOU ADOPT FROM US IS SPAYED OR NEUTERED PRIOR TO ADOPTION. including puppies. Our dogs will normally not need any vetting upon adoption other than a second puppy shot in the case of pups under 12 wks. We now have every dog heartworm tested and started on preventative for the summer months. Each of our animals is maintained on ADVANTAGE flea control until you adopt them. And check out the free PETFINDER's insurance that is offered with each dog---Don't forget to activate this within the first 48 hrs. We send info with each pet adopted which includes their other wonderful programs as well for the ongoing health of your adopted pet. .
Our adoption fees cover spay or neuter , all vaccines current; rabies certificate and tag; worming; heartworm test; IVERHART PLUS, a flea/tick dip, and ADVANTAGE. .
