Who We Are
Hello and Welcome my name is Tammy.
I am the Dog Control Officer for The Town of Lisle.
The Town Of Lisle Dog Shelter is a Town Owned Shelter which I maintain. The Shelter is inspected by New York State Inspectors from Agriculture and Markets Department in Albany every year. All dogs that are picked up within the Town Of Lisle go to the Town shelter and are cared for and adopted out directly from there.
Here they will get food and water and also stay dry ,warm and comfortable so they can dream of a new leash on life with a family that will love and care for them. Will YOU give one of them a second chance?

Adopting a friend
Please note: All dogs available for adoption from the Town of Lisle Dog Shelter are picked up as strays and little is known about their backgrounds. The ages are approx and information on how they would interact with other animal, people, etc is limited since they are strays. I do my best as to answer any additional questions that may arise. No dog is adopted out until the redeemption time for the owner to come forward has expired.
~~SPECIAL NOTE:~~
I can not release any dog(s) to any rescue group. All dogs must be adopted out from me.
In order to adopt a dog from the shelter you must fill out an adoption application and be approved.
If you rent you will need to provide you landlords information so I can make sure that the dog you would like to adopt will be welcomed by your landlord . .Just let me know if you would like one sent to you to get things started.I would appreciate the application being completed by hand..
Our adoption fee is $39.50 which includes 1 loving dog or puppy, dog license and rabies shot depending on the age of the puppy.
After adoption i strongly urge you to take your new addition to your family to your vet for further vaccinations and a complete check-up starting a good relationship with your vet and new family member. After i have confirmed a appointment date and time i will email with an attachment of the adoption application. I ask that the application be completed by hand and brought with you when you come for your appointment. NO application will be accepted by email. Completing the application by hand and bringing with you to your appointment for one shows me you are truely interested in adopting a dog/puppy and two i know it is you that has completed the application. You will need to make a return trip to pickup your new dog/puppy.
Donations/Wish List
Towels, toys and bones/biscuits are always needed. The dogs would enjoy the toys and biscuits tremendously.
Suggestions/Commments
Suggestions and comments on my webpage are welcome. Please let me know if there is a problem or room for improvement.
