Hello! Welcome! Looking for a new best friend? Do you want a dog that walks calmly on a leash, doesn't bark or shed much, sleeps 17 hours a day and is devoted & affectionate? Sound like the perfect dog? Greyhounds just may be!! Retired racers make GREYT pets!!
The good news; they are all of the above and more! The 'bad' news; they MUST be indoor pets, they CANNOT be tied outside and they must be kept on a leash when not in a fenced area (they may chase little furry things and get lost!!).

We understand the decision to add a new canine family member is a big one, and we hope that you and your family have considered it very carefully. We love these greyhounds and hope that families that are seriously interested in adopting one are committed to giving them a loving, permanent home. We do our best to make sure that the adoption process is an easy one; we do not ask you to jump through hoops, :^), but we do ask that you sign an adoption contract.
Who We Are
We are a small group of devoted volunteers with over six years experience in greyhound adoptions whose goal it is to find good, loving, responsible homes for retired racing greyhounds. After many years of hosting adoption clinics and public events, we now basically work via word-of-mouth and internet. As I say, we are a small group - not interested in the politics of racing, or completing to be the biggest or "best" group.... we simply concentrate on doing the best we can for each and every greyhound we place.

Adopting a friend
Please contact us for information on how to adopt one of these beautiful racing dogs. We would be happy to email or snail mail you a pre-adoption application. We typically work within Northeast NY, but will happily refer you to a greyhound adoption group in your area if you are much further away.
Not able to adopt a dog right away? But you would still like to help support and be connected to greyhounds?
We understand. God Bless You!! We'd love to welcome your volunteer assistance! We always need volunteers to help bathe newly retired dogs, copy and distribute flyers and information, help with fundraisers, etc. We also gratefully accept donations of dog food, old blankets and comforters, gently used large crates, and as always, the ever-needed gift of money.
