Our Pet List

Description
LFAR strives to match dogs in a certain Suffolk County shelter, or with various dogs in rescue groups on Long Island and NYC, with the best possible adopters. We also strive to help adopters find a new best friend in various rescues where the dog may not be listed on Petfinder yet.

By appointment
Long Island shelter dogs can be shown Mon, Wed, Thursday and Friday 10 a.m. until 5ish p.m.
Tuesdays from 8 a.m. until 7ish p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. until 3ish p.m. Call other groups for appt. times

Best Day and Time is Saturdays 10ish until 2ish since temperament screeners are there and available to answer any questions. Tuesday evenings also are good.
The shelter is in western Suffolk County. Rescue dogs are housed in individual homes-call to make an appt.
