Who We Are
ANIMAL RESCUE FOUNDATION, otherwise known as ARF is a Federal 501 (c) (3) non profit, NO KILL animal shelter. We are a 100% volunteer organization founded in 1986. Our shelter is located in Beacon, NY. We house and care for cats and dogs in need of a second chance or more time to find just the right home.
Finding a permanent home can take several days, weeks or even months. Since we are a NO-KILL shelter, some of the rescued animals, particularly those with special needs, will reside with us forever.

Animal Lovers Needed!
Would you like to help animals? We are always in need of dedicated and reliable animals lovers/volunteers to walk dogs, feed and clean cages and general grounds keeping work. Stop by or contact us if interested in becoming an ARF volunteer.

ARF is located 2.2 miles south of the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge off I-84 Exit 11. Turn right onto Simmons Lane. Follow Simmons Lane to the end of the road. We are the brick building on your left. Our hours are Thursday, Friday and Saturday 2-6 pm.
