Start of Something Great Rescues
Our Featured Pet...
FOSTER HOMES NEEDED ASAP! Casey, Cody, Lucky, & Katie all need foster homes! Have a few spayed/neutered cats that also need fostering. The cats are all good with dogs, cats, and children. News
.
Due to emergent situations in both families, Terry and Robin have both been forced to reduce their involvements in rescue. Terry is now acting as a facilitator, attempting to make connections for those placing and those adopting. Robin is still actively rescuing, but on a limited scale in comparison to earlier days. The women are now separated by several hundred miles, so the joint effort is hindered by distance, as well. The work continues, but on a smaller scale, with limited resources and space. Many of the pets we will list are at other facilities with which Robin is actively in contact. Please look for a direct contact number in the paragraph about the pet.
We get calls daily from people who need help in placing animals because of various situations. We live in an area which is a summer home to thousands of people. Anyone who does rescue knows what that means around this time of year. OUR PHONES NEVER STOP RINGING!!! The "summer people" get a puppy or kitten at the beginning of the season, then DUMP them at the end. We have NO MORE ROOM!!! Desperately in need of FOSTER HOMES!!! If you can help, please call!!!
Thanks for your patience. =) Our wish list is also posted on the newsletter......for any who are interested...... Donations of the following are greatly appreciated!!! Who We Are
We are a private rescue organization founded by Terry Espinosa and Robin Sherwood, working out of our homes. Robin does dogs/puppies (unless they are newborns...that is Terry's department)...Terry does cats/kittens. Robin is also the Humane Educator for a local humane society. OUR BIG MESSAGE TO EVERYONE: SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR PETS!!!!!!!!
NO dogs/pups leave without being spayed or neutered. With kittens who are old enough to place, but too young to be spayed/neutered yet, we require a refundable spay/neuter deposit. All animals placed are up to date on shots and worming. We are hoping to obtain grants to construct a large shelter on Terry's 23 acres. Robin is an experienced dog trainer, odedience instructor, and humane educator. Terry is a nursing student in an RN program in a local college...both women have lots of medical and veterinary background and experience. Terry was a nurse in an animal hospital prior to entering nursing school. Both Robin and Terry had been doing solo private rescue for several years prior to joining forces.
Adopting a friend
If you are interested in adopting your perfect match, we require an application with references (yes, we check them), an adoption contract, an adoption fee of $35 to $150, depending on the animal and circumstances, and a refundable spay/neuter deposit when applicable. Many people like to donate the spay/neuter deposit after showing proof of altering. This is GREATLY appreciated!!! Please call or email us if you have an interest in one of the many babies we have waiting for their forever homes!
