Cat Assistance, Inc. - Who We Are

Cat Assistance is a small private cat shelter in Westchester County, NY. We have cats and kittens for adoption, most of them have been rescued from private owners who are forced to give up their pets. Cat owners give up their cats for various reasons: such as they are moving and the new landlord does not allow pets or someone in the family has developed an allergy to the cat. We are now part of the Mayor's Alliance in New York City and we rescue cats and kittens from the Center for Animal Care and Control. Our hope is to end the euthanizing of all adoptable pets in New York City. .

The 5th Annual Westchester Pet Adoption Fair and Expo

The 5th Annual Westchester Pet Adoption Fair and Expo will be held on September 20, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Westchester County Center, White Plains, New York.

It will be a fun and informative day for pet owners, pet lovers and those looking to adopt pets. Over 16 animal rescue groups will attend with over 125 animals for adoption including exotic pets! In addition there are many quality vendors with pet products and people products too.

The Wine Enthusiast Donates $800.00 to Cat Assistance!

During a recent relocation, The Wine Enthusiast held a warehouse sale to benefit Cat Assistance. Through everyone's generous support , they collected $800.00 to help the cats and kittens at the shelter.
