Hi, I'm Chubbs. I've been at this shelter for over 1 1/2 years. It seems like such a long time. I love my people here, and I know that I will miss them, but I would really love to go to a real, forever home, with a real family!!! Yes, I'm an older girl, but along with that goes the fact that I'm extremely housebroken, and clean, so you wouldn't have to worry about training me. I am already spayed. I do not like other dogs, and I don't think I should be around cats either, so I'll do better if I'm the only pet in my new home! I still like to play, even at my age. I love to go for walks, and I'm excellent on a leash. No one gives me a chance, even though I'm a really terrific girl!!! Everyone at the shelter loves me, and they too will miss me, but, I really don't want to spend the rest of my life in a shelter!!! I know my new special people are out there, you just need to come in and get me!!!
The Delaware Valley Humane Society is a small, non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of homeless animals. Our mission is to provide food, shelter and medical care to unwanted cats and dogs and to find loving homes for them. Many of our pets are found abandoned, on our doorstep, or loose roaming the streets. Others are given up by their owners who no longer want them or are unable to care for them. Some are even rescued from inadequate living conditions and brought to our shelter to receive proper care.
Adopting a Friend
Shelter hours are: Monday-Saturday, 11:00-4:00, no adoptions after 3:30. Closed Sundays and Holidays.
All of our pets that are up for adoption are up to date on current vaccinations and de-worming. Some are already spayed or neutered. All cats are Feline Leukemia tested negative.
