Riverfront Keeshond Rescue

Our Pet List

Pet of the Month

All of our Keeshonden are special!
Latest news on Simba is that he is really getting into the swing of going for long walks and loves those drives in the car. Princess is loved and now lives with three children in Pennsylvania. Mowgli, also in Pennsylvania (big change from New York City) is very comfortable with his new family. Casey went to his new home where he is being loved by a wonderful family also in Pennsylvania. Dakota is being loved by a family on Long Island. Cheyenne is with a family in Albany who love her and are very grateful to have her. Bacchus is at home in Port Jervis where he has Kipper as his companion buddy. He had his ACL surgery and has healed so that you would never know he had to have the surgery. We now have Sparky for a little while, till his mom returns home. He is really a cool boy. I have to be careful, I just might fall in love. Sparky is now home with his mom enjoying Vermont. Take a look at this page frequently and see the comings and goings of our special Keeshonden! Cinder has been found and returned to his owners, well wishes go to his family. Emma is here with me and she just adores my husband. Casey is here too and love to stay out in the rain. Casey also loves the snow. It is the funniest think to see him take a chunk of snow and eat it, just like a meal. Both are coming along in their journey.

News

Cinder to date has not yet been found. Check out his page to see if you might have seen him.

IMPORTANT NEWS

Please do keep both eyes on your pet, and when outside be especially careful. There have been reports of pets that have been lost, missing and taken. Never ever let him/her alone, even in a fenced yard.

Who We Are

We are a group of independent volunteers, who rescue Keeshonden from our area shelters. We do not operate from a shelter. We do work from our own homes. We foster, rehabilitate and evaluate Keeshonden for perspective adoptive families and or adopters. Making the proper match of course is our main goal. We also do provide education on responsible pet ownership.

Adopting a friend

To adopt a Keeshond, you must contact the rescue person who is fostering the particular Keeshond that you are interested in. An adoption application may be obtained by e-mail toriverfrontresq@hvc.rr.com
All adoptees are spayed/neutered and up to date on all shots before being placed. There are times when we have a waiting list, if you would like to be considered for the list, request an adoption application and fill it out completely and return via snail mail to the address below, or via e-mail to riverfrontresq@hvc.rr.com

In some cases you will find the phone number and name of the contact at a shelter.

The reason for this being is that we are short on foster homes. Foster homes are desperately needed. If you feel the inclination to be a foster. Please contact us directly. riverfrontresq@hvc.rr.com
