.Who We Are
Second Chance Pet Society, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization located approximately 45 miles northwest of New York City. We basically do rescue within the Tri-State area, but have assisted in many rescues throughout the United States.We do not have a main shelter facility, but work with foster homes until an approved adoption home is ready. We primarily handle Toy Breeds.
We facilitate low cost spay and neuter services for local area pets by participating veterinarians. We provide local assistance for Seniors in need of transportation for veterinary care of their pets. Assistance is given in reporting animal cruelty and when appropriate, legal steps are taken to remove any animal from a home with an abusive environment.
