Who We Are
Vayda's Last Hope Humane Society is a non profit organization that saves dogs from being killed at our very crowded local shelter . We recently rescued about 100 dogs from Lied Animal Shelter during their mass euthinasia weekend . Our goal is to save as many lives as we possibly can. We take in dogs regardless of their health, looks or breeds. We are well known for helping animals in desperate need of medical attention or dogs who are very scared and need one on one attention.

Our featured pet is Hazel
hazel is a 5 year old pit bull.
she was found two years ago on a couch near a junkyard in the desert. She had no strength to even watch the cars driving by. The woman who found Hazel feed her some stale powdered donuts and gatorade in order to give her the strength to get up. When Hazel reached the Animal Hospital she weighted 22 lbs. with many scars. Hazel loves people but does not like other dogs. she is a healthy 60lbs now and is so gentle that we give her stuffed animals to play with and they last her about a week before they start falling apart.
We Lost Our Rescue Store and Need Your Help
We are currently trying to raise money to buy property approx. 1 hour outside of las vegas. As of june 30th our rescue store in las vegas had to close due to high overhead costs. We are currently boarding dogs at several local kennels (which is very costly). We need all the help we can get. Supplies (especially DOG FOOD and kennels) or cash donations are always welcomed. With your help, we can continue to save more lives.
UPDATE!!! We are now renting a piece of property hopefully we will get the money to buy it. But we need Chain link and other Kennel building supplies. Also, some volunteers to help us get them together and the dogs set up out on the new property!!!!!!
If you can make an online donation, it is tax deductible and we can give you receipts for your records. Everything helps us to save more dogs. If you can't adopt a friend, please consider helping us to save even more dogs.
