The Aztec Animal Care and Control Mission Statement:
We promise we will take in the homeless animals for whatever reason. We will heal their wounds and their diseases to the best of our ability. We will nurture their starvation and give them a warm place to sleep. We will fight with every ounce of power within us to get them a good home.
We will ensure that they are spayed and neutered and vaccinated against the diseases that can harm them.
We will speak softly to them.
We will try to teach them not to fear, not to cry and not to hate.
We will whisper kind, gentle words in their ears, while trying to stroke their fear, their pains, and their scars away.
We will face their emotional scars and give them time to overcome them.
We will socialize them and show them dignity. If they have endured to much, we will cradle them in our arms and stroke their fur and walk them over the Rainbow Bridge.
But most of all, we will teach them LOVE.
News
The staff here at Aztec Animal Care and Control are excited and pleased to announce our new expansion, which will begin construction in the near future. Our main building will be expanded to house a much larger cat room, and "puppy" room where nursing mothers can have a safe, quiet place to care for their newborns. An addition of 30 more indoor/outdoor dog runs and also our very own surgical suite. This means that every animal will go to their new loving homes already spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and current on all their vaccinations.

The wonderful staff here at Aztec Animal Care and Control are commited to finding the animals a permanent, "forever" home. We strive to make sure that the humans and animals are a good match for each other. An overwhelming number of our animals did not have a good start at life and we are determined that they end up being indoor, loved and spoiled members of the family. We are here to give these animals a second and often third or fourth chance at a new life that they all deserve.
Adopting an animal is a life-time commitment, not just when convenient.
