Who We Are

Our mission is to end pet homelessness and the killing of adoptable dogs and cats. Through careful screening and follow up, we match animals with loving homes. We emphasize humane education in every aspect of our contact with the public. We provide information on pet care, overpopulation, sterilization, and the management of feral cat colonies. We hold adoption clinics for DOGS every Saturday from 11-3pm at the PetsMart on Coors Bypass. Our CAT adoption clinics are every Saturday at the PetCo off Alameda near Coors from 11 to 3 and/or at the PetsMart at I-25 & Montano from 11-4pm. Please check our organization's website, www.nmaf.org, for up-to-date adoption clinic info!

*New Mexico Animal Friends (NMAF) is a non-profit, tax-expempt, volunteer animal welfare organization. NMAF assists homeless dogs and cats, including those who have been neglected, abandoned or abused. Through education, NMAF strives to ensure a humane and safe environment for pets and their owners.

*NMAF does not have a shelter and relies on foster homes to care for animals in our program until permanent adopters and homes can be found.

*NMAF does not euthanize healthy animals.

News

NMAF is in desperate need of more foster homes, donations and volunteers. If you can help, please call the NMAF office at 881-PAWS(7297). NMAF holds special events and fundraisers throughout the year with a Dog Walk in the spring, a Yard Sale in the summer, and a Gala and Auction in the fall.
