Sammy Queenie

Longing for a place to call home - two sweet dogs are waiting to meet you!!

Sammy!

Love swimming, car rides, long walks and cuddling on the couch. I’m told that I am handsome and weigh about 55 pounds with velvet soft fur. I am house trained and would love to spend time with people. I need someone who will walk, run and/or play with me every day. These pictures show you Sammy's serious side, fun side, and his party side! What more can you ask for?

Check out Sammy's page to see him with his friends at the Trenton Thunder Game!! A boy definitely worth meeting. If you are interested in learning more about Sammy, or would like to meet him, please contact A.F.E.W. and ask for Nancy.

Queenie is that Special Girl you are looking for.

Hi! My name is Queenie and I am a Shelti mix. Queenie is a wonderful dog, she is sweet, loving, well behaved, and devoted. Her owner passed away and the family has to leave their current residence because the house they are renting went to Sherriffs sale. This left Queenie homeless, she is now in foster care. She is housebroken and is crate trained. Queenie is good with people, cats and dogs. She would make a wonderful companion for an adult household or with older (8+) children.

Patches

Patches: From Surviving Cruelty to Being Given a Chance - Patches goes to Canada!

Patches update: Marilyn and Michelle reported the trip to Canada went very well. Patches has already come quite a ways already to being a real dog! He also made friends with an abandoned cat and they go everywhere together. The trip was 685 miles one way and the dogs (companion riders Jack and Chrissy) were magnificent travelers. Thank goodness for his trainer and new mom, Kelly - Patches is on his way to a new life. Well, we knew the beginning and we knew the end…and now we have the middle. Thanks to everyone who donated in Patches' name as the fee for the program, medical, food and boarding was covered.

Leanne

Leanne is looking for her forever home!

This spectacular young cat was found in a cloth carrier near the bread store in Hamilton in July. She was very frightened during her stay at the Hamilton Animal Shelter, so on August 21 she moved to a foster home. After only one week, this athletic cat runs to greet her foster parents, pushes her head into their hands for pets, and flops next to them on the bed in her room purring. She is keenly interested in the comings and goings from the house, watching from her upstairs window. Her foster family could no longer keep her and she is now in another foster home. She would like to live in a place where she can run around and be near people she loves.

Tara

KITTENS!

Tara are is a calico and S.C. a tuxedo, and Julip are her brother and sister a black kitten. They are playful and happy and awaiting their new home. Born on March 26th, they are more than ready to go. These guys love to play and will play with just about anything - from chasing after a cotton ball to jumping up after a ping pong ball. They are all beautiful! - Ask for Marilyn.

Mia

Mia - a sweet little girl!

Mia is a 3 year old spayed female who is current on all of her shots. She is a people person and loves attention. When she does not get enough she is very vocal and will push her head against you for more!. She is good around strangers as well as her foster family and never misbehaves. We think she would prefer to be an only cat as she does not play nice with the other cats in the house. She has a great life with her bed in front of the window where she basks in the sun all day but she is definitely missing something - a family of her very own.

Daddio

How Can You Resist?

Daddio. If you have room in your home and your heart please consider him.

This nice big guy showed up in my back yard and was starving. I fed him in my yard for several weeks until I was sure he had no place to go. I took him to the vet and found out that this poor cat's 4 canine teeth had all been smashed, and he was in a lot of pain. He had major dental surgery plus being neutered and vaccinated. Obviously he was an abused cat who ran away from something or someone who had hurt him. Please consider giving Daddio a home where he will be with people who are gentle and loving with him. He is a very nice guy with a huge appetite and the biggest head I ever did see! (please ask for Vicki)
